3 hour  course – 6pm to 9pm

Only $175 pp  

To operate a Marine VHF Radio and to apply for a MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity) number to operate the DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system, operators must hold a certificate of proficiency  (licence)  MRVOCP.
This includes VHF radios on Port Phillip and Western Port Bay, offshore sailing,  charter boats and some overseas yacht charter holidays.

This course covers all the topics required to sit the  Australian Maritime College examination at the end of the course and and includes the AMC  VHF Operators Handbook, and the cost of the AMC examination. 

Our courses are not just for passing the AMC test.    We cover all aspects of operating these  radios –   SAFETY – MAY DAY, PAN PAN etc, the RED DSC emergency button, etc also for ROUTINE Communication with friends,  weather reports etc,

To attend this course, you should bring photographic identification AND a recent passport size and quality photograph.

radiovhfTo safely operate a Marine VHF Radio on Port Phillip, Western Port and Coastal Waters, you are required to hold a Marine Radio VHF Operators Certificate of Proficiency ( commonly known as a Radio Licence).
