Who can get a Boat or Jet Ski Licence?

12 to 16 year olds can get a Restricted Marine Licence (and with a PWC endorsement) with the following basic restrictions:-

  • Max of 10 Knots
  • Not at night
  • Must not Tow

Once you turn 16, you have a General Marine Licence

How to get a Boat Licence?

  • You attend one of our 4 hour courses and pass the TSV test.
  • At the end of the course, you receive a TSV Certificate to take to VicRoads to pay the annual licence fee, have your photograph taken and then you are a licenced boat operator.
  • You bring to the course the required Identification (see below)
  • The cost $120, payable at the start of the course by cash or card.

How to get a PWC Jet Ski Licence?

  • 584b4d_b03caf2c04f009f0c40787497c107e12You attend one of our 4 hour Marine Boat courses and pass the TSV test for your Marine Boat Licence and then the Jet Ski Endorsement Test.
  • The cost $120, payable at the start of the course by cash or card.

If you already have a Marine Boat Licence and require the Jet Ski Endorsement, you are required to attend one of our 4 hour Marine Boat courses and pass the PWC Jet Ski Endorsement test.

  • The cost $80, payable at the start of the course by cash or card.
  • At the end of the course,  you receive a TSV Certificate to take to VicRoads to pay the annual licence fee, have your photograph taken and then you are a licenced boat operator.

Identification

You must bring along to the course Proof of your Identity. 

This is normally  –   Current Vic Drivers Licence/ Learners Permit,                          or                                                            Birth Certificate or Passport,                                      plus                      Medicare or School ID Card.
