This two day course provides a comprehensive overview of all boating topics, includes practical on water boat-work, is required when obtaining accreditation as Instructor, Coach or Race Officer, and is  recognised by Transport Safety Victoria as an approved training course for Marine Licence purposes.

It is a course that is designed for and caters for all levels of experience.

The topics include:-

boat launching, engines and fuel, types of craft, boat handling, weather and tides, distress situations, maintaining your boat, buoyage, lights, collision regulations, anchoring, basic navigation.

 

The full day on the water in our boats aim to improve boat handling skills at low and planing speeds, and cover:

Low speed boat handling in congested areas, Approaching and leaving a mooring and a pier or jetty, Securing a vessel using lines, Holding  station, Anchoring, three point turns, Launching & retrieving from a boat ramp, Man Overboard recovery.

 

Successful completion will allow you to simply take your certificate along to VicRoads for your Boat Licence without further testing.
